THANK YOO

This artwork was motivated firstly
by my own need to find a reconnection and so renewal within myself.

This project has served, among other things,
to remind me that working on “reconnection”
like aiming for “excellence” does not come easily or quickly.
The adventure though has been made that much more pleasant
by people who have been supportive in one way or another.

Thank yoo to the hundreds of Harlequins who have contributed.
I would like to think of this artwork as a gift.
It is a gift providing us with an opportunity to demonstrate to ourselves and others
that we have a culture of some depth here in Australia.
This “gift” though is not given freely.

The more I have worked on the artwork
the more it has become something like a vast ‘national treasure map’.
It is intended for those who seek the adventure of finding the treasure within inside.
Looking into the artwork will give you clues to finding the treasure.

is contained inside the Olympian's 'surrender' baton within the Artwork.
